As the curtains draw on yet another fruitful term at Rush Academy Schools, we reflect on the remarkable journey we’ve had over the past eight weeks. The third term, which began on the 26th of August 2024 and ended on the 18th of October 2024, has been nothing short of successful, filled with memorable events, academic progress, and a collective sense of accomplishment.
ECD Graduation: A Joyous Milestone
One of the major highlights of this term was the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Graduation, held on the 4th of October 2024. This event marked a significant transition for our young learners as they prepare to move from ECD to the Lower Primary section, Grade 1, in the next academic year, an important milestone in their educational journey. The ceremony was a vibrant affair, attended by proud parents, dedicated teachers, and inspiring guest speakers who shared words of encouragement. It was a day to celebrate not just academic growth, but the holistic development of these young minds who are now ready to embrace the next chapter in their learning journey.
Prayer Day for Grade 6 and Form 4 Candidates
On the 19th of October 2024, we held a special Prayer Day for our Grade 6 and Form 4 candidates as they prepare for their upcoming national examinations—KPSEA (Kenya Primary School Education Assessment) and KCSE (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education), respectively. This day was dedicated to spiritual reflection, unity, and support for our students as they face these critical exams that will shape the next stage of their academic careers.
Parents, teachers, and spiritual leaders gathered to offer prayers and words of motivation, reminding our candidates of the importance of resilience, focus, and hard work. The emotional support provided by the school community underscored our commitment to ensuring that our students are not only academically prepared but also mentally and emotionally equipped to excel in their exams.
Closing Ceremony: Honouring Excellence
The term officially concluded on the 18th of October 2024 with a closing ceremony that celebrated the achievements of both students and staff. It was a moment of pride as the top-performing students in various academic and extracurricular categories were recognized for their dedication and hard work. The exceptional contributions of our staff were also appreciated, highlighting the pivotal role they play in maintaining the high standards of education at Rush Academy Schools.
This ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also fostered a sense of collective pride and motivation as we look forward to the challenges and opportunities of the next academic year.
Exam Preparations Underway
While most of the school has now gone on break, our Grade 6 and Form 4 candidates remain in school, preparing rigorously for their upcoming national exams. The KPSEA, Grade 6 assessment, is set to run from the 28th to the 31st of October 2024, followed closely by the KCSE, which commences on the 4th, running to the 22nd of November 2024. The school has ensured that these students have access to the best resources, including focused revision sessions, mentorship programs, and counselling services to support them in the final stretch of their preparations.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on this term, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support of parents, sponsors & well wishers; the commitment of our resilient staff, and the hard work of our students. The third term has been a testament to the strength of the Rush Academy Schools community, and we are confident that the upcoming examinations will reflect the dedication and preparation of our candidates.
We wish all our Grade 6 and Form 4 candidates the very best in their exams and look forward to celebrating their successes in the near future.
